Travel directly in an SUV suited to high-altitude mountain roads, with pickup at Achada do Teixeira at your selected time and drop-off at the Pico do Arieiro trailhead. Use the transfer whether you are starting or finishing the hike, without sharing the ride.

Meeting and pickup

Meeting point

Look for a white or grey SUV parked at the Achada do Teixeira parking lot. Your driver will be waiting near the vehicle in the Achada do Teixeira parking area.

End point

If you leave your car at Achada do Teixeira, we take you to Pico do Areeiro so you can start the PR1 from the top and finish back at your car.

If you leave your car at Pico do Areeiro, we take you from Achada do Teixeira to Pico do Areeiro so you can collect your car after completing the hike.
