Your experience begins with a comfortable pickup from your hotel by our professional driver and transfer to a local spice farm. Known as the Spice Island, Zanzibar has a long history of growing and producing spices such as cloves, cinnamon, cardamom, vanilla, turmeric, ginger, lemongrass, and black pepper.

After exploring the spice farm, continue your cultural experience with a hands-on Zanzibar cooking class. Under the guidance of a local cook, you will learn how traditional Zanzibar dishes are prepared using fresh local ingredients and aromatic spices. Instead of simply watching, you will have the opportunity to participate in the preparation of the meal. Learn traditional techniques for preparing vegetables, spices, sauces, rice, and other local dishes while discovering how spices are combined to create Zanzibar’s distinctive flavors.
