What makes this experience unique is first and foremost the location: Palazzo Soranzo, an authentic Venetian historic palace overlooking Campo San Polo, also linked to the history of Giacomo Casanova, who in his memoirs recounts his encounters with the senator Matteo Bragadin right at Palazzo Soranzo.
In this setting you will enter a suggestive Venetian atelier dedicated to masks. You can choose your papier-mâché mask and customize it with colors accompanied by the expert.
The experience thus unites Venetian history, creativity, and tradition in about 120 minutes. At the end, you will take with you something much more personal than a souvenir: a Venetian mask decorated by you inside a palace that preserves the stories and atmosphere of Casanova's Venice.

What to expect

Enter a true Venetian palace and discover the art of the mask in the heart of Venice. At Palazzo Soranzo, overlooking Campo San Polo, you will participate in a creative workshop of about 120 minutes dedicated to decorating your Venetian mask.
You can choose from 40 models of white papier-mâché masks and, with the expert's guide, customize them using colors and brushes. No artistic experience is necessary: the workshop is designed to allow everyone to create freely, learning techniques and curiosities related to the tradition of Venetian masks.
The experience takes place in the historic halls of Palazzo Soranzo, surrounded by Venetian masks and atmospheres. At the end, you will take with you the mask you made: a unique memory of Venice, created entirely by you.
