What to expect

    Choose to board the cable car at either the north or south station. If you start at the south terminal, get on near Passeio de Neptuno, next to the Oceanarium. If you begin at the north terminal, board at Passeio das Tágides, beside the old Vasco da Gama Tower.

    Ride a cable car built for the Lisbon Expo '98 and now one of the city's favourite short journeys. Hover approximately 30 meters above the Tagus River and take in a panoramic view of Nations Park, passing by the Portuguese Pavilion, designed by architect Álvaro Siza Vieira.

    Fly over other landmarks from the Expo, including the MEO Arena, São Rafael Tower, and São Gabriel Tower. The ride to the opposite terminal takes about 12 minutes, and your round-trip ticket also covers the return journey. You can stay on board for the way back, or step off at the other end to stroll along the waterfront before riding back to your starting station.
