    Leave the port for Aix-en-Provence, the elegant city of Paul Cézanne. Stroll the Cours Mirabeau under its plane trees, past the 17th-century mansions and the mossy Fontaine Moussue, to the grand Fontaine de la Rotonde. Wander the old town's squares, the Place de l'Hôtel de Ville and, on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings, the colourful Provençal market. Taste a calisson, the city's famous almond sweet.

    Drive the spectacular Route des Crêtes along the clifftops of Cap Canaille, the highest sea cliff in mainland France, with breathtaking views over the bay of Cassis and the Calanques National Park. Your driver stops at the best viewpoint for photos.

    Arrive in Cassis, the most charming fishing harbour of Provence. Enjoy free time for lunch on the quays, where colourful boats bob below the château and the terraces serve fresh seafood and the local white wine. Walk to the Plage de la Grande Mer or along the harbour to the lighthouse.
  4. Basilique Notre Dame de la Garde

    On the way back to your ship, if time allows, a final photo stop at Notre-Dame de la Garde, the golden basilica watching over Marseille, for a 360° view of the Old Port, the Frioul islands and the city. Your driver then drops you at the foot of your ship, well before all-aboard.

HOTEL GUESTS: door-to-door pickup from any hotel, rental or address in Marseille. Pickup is also available at Marseille Saint-Charles station and Marseille Provence Airport.
