Overview
A 3-day desert tour from Fes to Marrakech typically takes you through the Middle Atlas Mountains, starting with stops in Ifrane and the cedar forests near Azrou, then continuing through the scenic Ziz Valley to reach the Sahara at Merzouga, where you ride camels into the dunes of Erg Chebbi and spend a night in a desert camp under the stars; on the second day you watch the sunrise and travel via Rissani to hike through the dramatic cliffs of Todra Gorge and stay in the Dades Valley, and on the final day you pass the Valley of Roses and Ouarzazate, visit the famous kasbah Ait Benhaddou, cross the High Atlas via Tizi n'Tichka Pass, and arrive in Marrakech in the evening. ️
