Set out on a 4-mile round-trip kayaking adventure along a section of the Black Canyon Water Trail, paddling through the remarkably clear, emerald-green waters of the Colorado River toward the famous Emerald Cave. Choose a single or tandem kayak and enjoy a scenic journey through the dramatic canyon landscape with an expert local guide.
Along the way, stop at a historic site and scenic viewpoint to learn about the fascinating history of the area, including the structures and Hoover Dam. Continue upstream to Emerald Cave, where the canyon walls and brilliantly colored water create one of the most memorable sights along the Colorado River.
On the return paddle, take in the spectacular canyon scenery and keep watch along the shoreline for local wildlife, including Bighorn Sheep, Bald Eagles, and foxes.
Your guide is trained in Wilderness First Aid and CPR, and every kayak is equipped with a rudder system to make paddling easier.
At the bottom of Willow Beach Road, you will see the Paddlecraft Launch beach on your left hand side. It will be the first beach you see. You may park in the parking lot directly past it and walk down to meet your guide. Look for your bright blue and green Wilderness Systems Kayaks.
