What to expect

  1. Ria Formosa Natural Park
    4h
This guided interpretative walk is designed to provide a deep immersion into the Ria Formosa Natural Park. We meet at the iconic crab roundabout and move toward the start of the trail, where we begin our experience with a brief introductory talk. This briefing ensures everyone understands the delicate environment we are about to enter and the unique dynamics of this protected landscape.

Traversing a landscape of transition from dry ground to salt marshes, we interpret this paradise of biodiversity. Focusing on birdwatching, we stop at two observation houses to view species in the lagoons. As salt production is a natural process, the scenery shifts seasonally between deep reservoirs and white salt mountains.

Beyond nature, we provide social and cultural insights, passing close enough to clearly see ancient Roman ruins. This tour is for those seeking the land in its authentic state, balancing wildlife observation with the shifting beauty of the Algarve's wetlands.
