Overview

Unlike standard daytime Zhujiajiao tours, this private half-day tour is timed for late afternoon and early evening, when the crowds fade and the canals, bridges, lantern streets, and water reflections become more atmospheric. The experience focuses on a relaxed water-town walk, local stories, photo spots, and optional upgrades such as a boat ride or Kezhi Garden visit when available. On the return journey, your driver can drop you off anywhere within downtown Shanghai, so you may continue enjoying the city’s night views, such as the illuminated Yuyuan Garden area or the Bund.

    Meet up your friendly private guide at your hotel lobby in the morning or afternoon based on your preferred schedule. Transferred by comfortable vehicle to Zhujiajiao, a water town on the outskirts of Shanghai, and was established about 1,700 years ago.

    Upon arrival, stroll along the old street and traditional market where you will find many interesting vendors and local specialties. You will also find the best known bridges, built during Ming and Qing Dynasties. Take a relaxing boat ride in the water canals, and your friendly private guide will share with you the history and story of the area.

    After the tour, your guide will send you back to the hotel in Shanghai city.
