Overview

Catalina Island is a tropical treasure located off the southern coast of the Dominican Republic, is one of the top day trip destinations from Punta Cana. Known for its crystal-clear waters, powdery white sand beaches, and vibrant coral reefs, Catalina Island offers a more tranquil and exclusive experience compared to more crowded tourist spots.

Tours typically includes comfortable bus ride to La Romana, followed by a scenic boat ride to the island—where paradise awaits. Catalina is a favorite among snorkelers and divers, featuring famous underwater sites like “The Wall” and “The Aquarium,” full of colorful marine life and coral formations.

Whether you want to snorkel, sunbathe, or enjoy a traditional Dominican lunch by the sea, Catalina Island delivers a perfect mix of relaxation and adventure. It’s an ideal excursion for couples, families, and groups looking to experience the Dominican Republic beyond Punta Cana’s resorts.
