Overview

Cook sukiyaki in a private Tokyo home with a host trained under a Hilton “Dynasty” chef. The half-day class centers on A5 Iga Wagyu and Koshihikari rice slow-cooked in a traditional donabe clay pot, with a take-home recipe to recreate the meal. Before reaching the home, take a short walk through Gakugei-Daikanyama, a local neighborhood near Shibuya. Meals, coffee, tea, soda, and bottled water are provided, and BYO alcohol is welcome without corkage.

What's included

  • A short walk through the Gakugei-Daigaku neighborhood on the way to the home
  • Soft drinks such as soda or sparkling water
  • Take-home sukiyaki recipe for easy home recreation
  • Bottled drinking water provided
  • Coffee or tea served during or after the meal
  • Premium Iga wagyu sukiyaki, prepared and enjoyed together in a warm Tokyo home, served with premium Japanese rice such as Koshihikari and noodles.
  • Alcoholic beverages are not included, but guests may bring their own if they wish

What to expect

"Phantom Wagyu" in Tokyo Home
Experience A5 Iga Wagyu, the "Phantom Wagyu" from the home of the Ninja. So rare that 80% is enjoyed locally in Mie, gourmets often prefer it over Matsusaka Beef for its lighter, elegant sweetness and melt-in-your-mouth texture. We serve a generous portion for a rare experience you won't find in typical tourist spots.

Professional Flavor & Traditional Craft Your host, Demi, was raised in a restaurant family and trained by a Hilton "Dynasty" chef. Enjoy professional-quality Sukiyaki with premium Koshihikari rice, slow-cooked in a traditional "Donabe" (clay pot) for a sweetness electric cookers can’t match. We also serve seasonal dessert and tea to perfectly round off your meal.

Local Life & Private Hospitality Explore Gakugei-Daigaku, a "cool" neighborhood away from tourist crowds. Relax in a real home, learn the philosophy of “Itadakimasu,” and enjoy full bilingual support. BYO is welcome with no corkage fee! Feel free to bring your favorite sake or beer to pair with the A5 beef. We welcome families, couples, and solo travelers to our table for a memorable taste of Japan. We look forward to meeting you and sharing our stories!
