What to expect

Hike from Bica da Cana to Encumeada on a guided tour. Walk through the Laurisilva Forest, cross tunnels, and enjoy views of the São Vicente and Serra de Água valleys.
Your walk begins between the Paul da Serra plateau and the ridge overlooking the stunning Serra de Água valley. Follow ancient trails, winding tunnels, and levadas carved into the mountainside — each turn revealing a new perspective of Madeira’s breathtaking scenery. The route traverses the lush Laurissilva forest, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site, where native flora and the sounds of nature create an atmosphere of pure serenity.
