Private Tour: Lake Chapala, Tlaquepaque & Tonalá Crafts + VFRanch

1. Tianguis de Tonala
   2h
Ancient pottery village with centuries of artisan tradition. Weekly craft market (tianguis), ceramic workshops, and Jalisco's finest handmade goods — plus MUTA, the Mask Museum, one of the most unique cultural stops in western Mexico.
2. 45m
Discover the MUTA, the only museum in Mexico dedicated to the Tastoanes : the oldest and most visceral pre-Hispanic ritual dance in Jalisco. Their hand-carved wooden masks, with grotesque expressions and unique features, represent centuries of indigenous resistance to the Spanish conquest.
Tour the rooms where each piece tells a story of identity, faith and living tradition. Your private guide will explain the symbolism of the characters, the origin of the festival declared Cultural Heritage of Jalisco, and the connection of Tonalá with the craft art surrounding the museum.
An intimate experience, outside of the massive circuits, that transforms a visit into a deep understanding of the Jalisco soul.
3. 1h
Stepping into Rancho Los 3 Potrillos is like opening a book of Mexican history written in ranchera music and charro tradition. This is where the legendary Vicente Fernández — "El Charro de Huentitán" — lived and built his legacy.

Walk through majestic gardens, the stables that gave the ranch its name, and spaces that reflect his lifelong passion for horses and Jalisco culture. The official gift shop offers photos, memorabilia, and keepsakes that trace the artistic journey of one of Mexico's greatest icons.

More than a visit — it's an emotional journey into the soul of ranchera music, Jalisco pride, and the enduring legacy of a man who turned his home into a cultural symbol.
4. 2h
Mexican art galleries, live mariachi, and the traditional architecture of Jalisco's most bohemian village. Don't miss the hand-churned traditional ice cream (helado de garrafa) — a ritual stop that every visitor remembers.
5. Chapala
   4h
Visit Mexico's largest lake and taste its iconic flavors at two of its most beloved spots: Chapala and Ajijic. Waterfront dining, stunning lake views, and the kind of authentic local experience that doesn't appear in any guidebook.
