Day 1: Nairobi – Samburu National Reserve

Your safari begins with an early morning pickup from your Nairobi hotel, residence or agreed meeting point. Drive north through Kenya's changing landscapes toward Samburu.
The journey takes you through agricultural areas and gradually into the drier, rugged landscapes of Northern Kenya. Depending on your schedule, you may stop along the way for refreshments and scenic viewpoints.
Arrive in the Samburu area in time for lunch before heading out for your first afternoon game drive.
Samburu National Reserve is famous for its arid scenery, the Ewaso Ng'iro River and wildlife species adapted to northern Kenya's semi-arid environment.
Look out for elephants, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, buffaloes, lions and, with some luck, leopards and cheetahs.
Day 2: Full-Day Game Drives in Samburu National Reserve

Wake up early for a morning game drive when wildlife is particularly active.
Explore different areas of Samburu with your guide while searching for the reserve's distinctive wildlife. One of the major attractions is the Samburu Special Five: Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, Beisa oryx and Somali ostrich.
The Ewaso Ng'iro River attracts wildlife throughout the day and provides excellent opportunities for photography and observation.
Return to your accommodation for breakfast and relaxation before another game-viewing drive later in the day.
Your afternoon drive continues the search for wildlife against Samburu's dramatic hills, rocky outcrops and dry savannah.
Day 3: Samburu – Ol Pejeta Conservancy

After breakfast, depart Samburu and travel south toward Ol Pejeta Conservancy.
Enjoy the changing scenery as the dry northern landscape gives way to the greener highlands around Laikipia.
Arrive at Ol Pejeta in time for lunch followed by an afternoon game drive.
Ol Pejeta is well known for its rhino conservation work and diverse wildlife. During your game drive, look for black and white rhinos, elephants, lions, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, antelopes and other species.
The conservancy also provides an exceptional setting for wildlife photography.
Day 4: Ol Pejeta – Nairobi

Depending on your departure schedule, there may be an opportunity for an additional conservation experience or short game-viewing drive.
Continue to Nairobi and arrive in the afternoon or early evening.
