We will interpret Old Town Alexandria through the lens of your camera phone, uncovering the stories, textures, and beauty often missed by the everyday eye, while framing the unexpected within architectural lines and ambient light into a walking adventure.
Your journey begins at the Torpedo Factory Art Center, on the dock by the Potomac River, with a brief storytelling session about the area and historic factory.
Torpedo Factory Interior (If Open):
If the building is open, we’ll step inside this vibrant treasure trove of art. You'll have the chance to photo-document dynamic studios, capturing color, texture, and creative energy.
Riverfront:
If the Torpedo Factory is closed, we’ll move more quickly to the riverfront—where nature meets human design. You'll be encouraged to explore the area visually.
King St. Freestyle:
From there, your group will follow the timbre and curiosity of the moment, letting our eyes and my instincts guide us along King Street. We'll photograph what draws us in. I’ll offer light guidance on using your camera effectively and tips on composition.
the goal is that helps you see Old Town Alexandria—and your everyday world—through a new lens.
