What to expect
Day 1: CUSCO – ABRA MÁLAGA -SANTA MARÍA (Biking – Rafting)
Cusco
2h
The transportation will pick you up from your hotel at 7:00 a.m. We will then head toward the Málaga Pass, located at 4,500 meters above sea level, the highest point of our journey. After approximately three hours of travel, we will arrive at this mystical place, where our guide will perform a brief Inca ceremony before beginning the downhill biking experience. The descent will last about three hours until we reach Huamanmarca, an archaeological site, arriving around 1:30 p.m., where you will enjoy a delicious lunch.
Afterwards, we will dive into the adventure of rafting, where the Salkantay and Urubamba rivers merge to form the great Vilcanota River. Throughout the experience, you will navigate Class III and IV rapids, enjoying a unique and memorable adventure. The day ends in Santa María, where you will spend the night in a charming tourist lodge.
Day 2: Trek from Santa María to Santa Teresa (Capsule Hotel)
Banos Termales de Cocalmayo
2h · Admission ticket included
We will begin our hike toward Santa Teresa. The first two hours of the trek will be a continuous ascent, surrounded by abundant vegetation and spectacular views of the Salkantay snow-capped peak and the Santa Teresa Valley. Along the way, we will have several rest stops where the guide will explain the local flora and fauna, more than 1,000 meters above the river in the heart of the jungle.
We will then descend along the Inca Trail until we reach Quellomayo, where we will have lunch by the river and enjoy a short rest.
Afterward, we will continue hiking for another two hours until we arrive at the Cocalmayo hot springs, and then head toward the capsule hotel suspended on the mountainside. This accommodation in Santa Teresa is the only one of its kind in the world: glass domes hanging from a cliff more than 500 meters above the river. This is a truly unique experience, sleeping in a mountain capsule with all modern comforts while observing the Milky Way from the comfort of your bed.
Day 3: SANTA TERESA – AGUAS CALIENTES
Aguas Calientes
2h
The day begins with a typical local breakfast on the terrace of the Capsule Dome Restaurant. Afterwards, you will enjoy the extreme adventure activities we offer, including crossing the Tibetan (suspension) bridge over 150 meters long and 200 meters above the ground, followed by zip-lining or canopy tours, all under the guidance of our experienced mountain guides.
After this thrilling experience, our transportation will take you to the Hydroelectric Station, approximately a one-hour journey, arriving around 12:00 p.m. for lunch. We will then continue our journey with a hike to Aguas Calientes, lasting approximately three hours, arriving in the beautiful town around 5:30 p.m., where you will have dinner and rest in comfortable accommodations.
