Guided E-Bike Adventure on Sintra's Hidden Trails

This is one of the first spectacular highlights of our tour and a true reward after a gentle ride from the village. We'll park our e-bikes right at the entrance to this stunning, wild beach, famed for its dramatic rock formations and golden sands.

Travelers will have the perfect opportunity to walk down to the shoreline, breathe in the fresh Atlantic air, and take incredible photos of the sea caves and arches carved by the ocean. It's a breathtaking, "wow" moment that perfectly captures the untamed beauty of the Sintra coast before we begin our effortless climb up the mountain trails.

A short ride from the beach, we'll make a stop at an impressive natural viewpoint. Here, travelers will see the Fojo, a large, deep cavern in the cliffs that opens up to the sea below.

It’s a great example of the geology of the Sintra coast and a perfect spot for photos. We’ll take a moment here to look down into the chasm and appreciate the coastal landscape before continuing our ride.

Our e-bikes make the climb to Santuário da Peninha, one of the highest points in the Sintra hills, feel easy and rewarding. Once we arrive, travelers will be greeted by one of the most stunning panoramic views in all of Portugal, with sweeping vistas of the coastline stretching from Cascais to Ericeira.

We'll take a break here to explore the historic chapel and the beautiful, unfinished palace that sits beside it. It's a peaceful and often misty place that truly feels special, offering a unique perspective of the landscape you've just ridden through. This stop is a true highlight and provides an incredible sense of accomplishment.

Our ride takes us deep into the heart of the Sintra forest to the Convento dos Capuchos, a truly unique and humbling place. After parking our e-bikes, travelers will step back in time as we explore this ancient monastery, famous for its tiny, cork-lined cells built directly into the surrounding granite boulders.

We'll walk through the simple corridors and see how the monks lived a life of extreme austerity in harmony with nature. It’s a quiet, peaceful stop that offers a powerful contrast to the grand palaces elsewhere in Sintra. This visit provides a fascinating glimpse into a different side of the region's rich history.

As we ride along a scenic ridge in the Sintra hills, we'll arrive at the charming village of Penedo. Considered one of the most traditional villages in the area, it offers a wonderful glimpse into authentic Portugal with its narrow, winding streets and classic whitewashed houses.

We'll take a brief stop at the village's historic core, where you can see the main church and enjoy a stunning view looking back out towards the Atlantic Ocean. It's a peaceful and picturesque part of our journey that feels a world away from the main tourist hubs, showing travelers the genuine character of the Sintra region.

Our scenic loop tour concludes as we ride back into the charming village of Almoçageme, arriving at our original meeting point. After an incredible journey through forests, along coastal cliffs, and past historic sites, this is where our shared adventure comes to a close.
