2. Berrick Hall
   30m
When Yokohama opened to the world in 1859, Westerners flocked to the hilltop district of Yamate — known as “The Bluff” — and built their homes, churches, and community there. On this private half-day walking tour, your local guide brings their stories to life: British merchants, American diplomats, and the Japanese who navigated this remarkable cultural collision.

The Western-style houses in Yamate are a popular sightseeing spot for Japanese people.

Along the way, you’ll discover beautifully preserved Western-style residences, panoramic harbor views, and the charming Motomachi shopping street — the original foreign quarter. All within easy walking distance, at a relaxed, discovery-paced tempo.
3. Yamashita Park

It’s a perfect place to enjoy nature, the ocean breeze, and the charm of Yokohama.
