It’s a privileged viewpoint not open to all visitors.

The tour continues to the Palatine Hill, the legendary birthplace of Rome, where Romulus is said to have founded the city. Here you’ll see remains spanning from the Iron Age to the Renaissance. Highlights include:

Hut of Romulus, a trace of early Rome.

Imperial Palace, the monumental complex where emperors lived and ruled.
From the Palatine Hill you’ll also enjoy some of the best panoramic views of Rome, overlooking both the Colosseum and the Roman Forum.
  3. Roman Forum

The final stop is the Roman Forum, once the beating heart of ancient Rome – a hub of politics, religion, law, and trade. Here you will discover:

The spot where Julius Caesar was cremated.

The path of victorious Triumphs celebrating Rome’s conquests.

The ruins of temples and basilicas where trials, business, and ceremonies took place.

Dramatic episodes, such as the murder of two emperors in 69 AD.
