We will have to drive to get to the fossil site. The drive takes around 3 hours each way. During the drive, you'll get to see a lot of neat geology and will get it all explained to you by our geologist. Once we get to the site, we'll be digging for Trilobite fossils. These fossils are some of the oldest known fossils that go as far back as 500 million years ago. We can usually find them sitting on the surface but sometimes it requires a little digging.
The meeting location is in a Costco parking lot next to the Costco gas station. The drive from the meeting point to the fossil site is around 3 hours. It is mostly on paved roads except for the last 10 miles is on a well graded dirt road, the last couple hundred yards which needs higher clearance
