What to expect

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

    Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be welcomed by your guide. Today is all about preparation and orientation. You’ll have a detailed briefing about the trek, check-in at your hotel, and a chance to relax after your journey. This day ensures you are ready and informed before heading into the mountains.
Day 2: Kathmandu → Syabrubesi → Trek to Lama Hotel

    Start early with a scenic 6–7 hour drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi, the starting point of the trek. From here, enjoy a short 1–2 hour trek to Lama Hotel (1,430 m). The trail winds along rivers, through lush forests, and past charming villages, giving a first glimpse of the natural beauty of Langtang Valley.
Day 3: Lama Hotel → Langtang Village

    Today, the trek becomes more immersive with a 5–6 hour hike covering 12 km, gaining elevation from 1,430 m to 3,430 m. Walk through dense rhododendron and pine forests, cross suspension bridges, and encounter traditional Tamang villages. Langtang Village offers stunning Himalayan views and a chance to experience local culture.
Day 4: Langtang Village → Kyanjin Gompa

    The trek continues to Kyanjin Gompa (3,870 m), a 3–4 hour hike over 7 km. Along the way, enjoy panoramic views of glaciers and the surrounding Himalayan peaks. Explore Kyanjin Gompa monastery, a cultural highlight, and optionally hike to Kyanjin Ri (4,773 m) for breathtaking sunset views over the mountains.
Day 5: Kyanjin Gompa → Lama Hotel

Day 6: Lama Hotel → Syabrubesi → Kathmandu

    Start early for the drive back from Lama Hotel to Syabrubesi and then continue to Kathmandu, which takes about 6–7 hours. Arrive in Kathmandu in the evening, check in at your hotel, and rest after the trek. You can also explore the city briefly or enjoy a farewell dinner.
Day 7: Departure from Kathmandu

    After breakfast, you will be transferred to Tribhuvan International Airport for your onward flight. This concludes your memorable Langtang Valley Trek experience, leaving you with lasting memories of the Himalayas.
