    The temple features a striking five-tier pyramid structure with steep overlapping terraces leading to five sanctuary towers arranged in a quincunx pattern on the uppermost level. Surrounded by moats, Ta Keo symbolically represents the sacred Mount Meru, the mythical home of the Hindu gods. Its massive sandstone blocks, unfinished carvings, and grand design make Ta Keo one of the most unique and powerful temples to explore in Angkor.
