   At Quan Ba Heaven Gate, we stop to enjoy panoramic views over Tam Son town and the Twin Mountains, take photos, breathe in the cool mountain air, and learn a bit about the local landscape before continuing deeper into the Ha Giang Loop.

   At Tham Ma Pass, we ride through a series of iconic hairpin turns, stop at the viewpoint for photos, and hear local stories about how this steep pass once tested the strength of horses—an unforgettable highlight of the Ha Giang Loop.

   At Dinh Vua Meo (Hmong King Palace), we walk through the historic Vuong family mansion, learn about H’mong culture and the palace’s fascinating past, explore its stone courtyards and architecture, and take photos before continuing the Ha Giang Loop.
5. Dong Van

   We arrive in Dong Van Ancient Town, the cultural heart of the rocky plateau. After checking in at the hotel, there’s time to rest and freshen up before heading out. In the evening, we explore the old quarter with its century-old stone houses, lantern-lit streets, and lively local atmosphere. This is a great moment to feel the rhythm of Dong Van, meet locals, and prepare to enjoy a warm dinner together—ending the day with good food and a relaxed mountain-town vibe.

Day 2: Dong Van → Ma Pi Leng Pass → Nho Que River → Meo Vac → M Pass → Lung Ho Viewpoint → Du Gia (~100km)

2. Ma Pi Leng Pass

   Ma Pi Leng Pass is considered the most spectacular section of the Ha Giang Loop and one of the most beautiful mountain passes in Vietnam. Winding along steep limestone cliffs, the road offers dramatic views over deep valleys and the emerald-green Nho Que River far below.
   
   Here, we stop at viewpoints to take photos, admire the scale of the landscape, and understand why Ma Pi Leng is called the “King of Passes” in northern Vietnam—a true highlight and unforgettable moment of the journey.
3. Nho Que River

   We then continue down for a boat trip on the Nho Que River, cruising through the breathtaking Tu San Canyon, where towering cliffs rise above emerald-green water—one of the most peaceful and unforgettable experiences on the Ha Giang Loop.

   At M Pass (Cua Chu M), we stop at the viewpoint to see the road curve into a perfect “M” shape, take photos of the winding mountain scenery, and enjoy a short break before continuing the Ha Giang Loop.
6. Lung Ho

   At Lung Ho Viewpoint, we stop to admire sweeping views over the Lung Ho Valley, with layered mountains, winding roads, and quiet ethnic villages below—an ideal spot for photos and a peaceful pause on the Ha Giang Loop.
7. Du Gia

   At Du Gia Village, we slow down to experience a quieter side of the Ha Giang Loop. Surrounded by rice fields, rivers, and limestone mountains, Du Gia offers a peaceful village atmosphere where we meet locals, relax at a homestay, enjoy a home-cooked dinner, and unwind after a full day on the road.

Day 3: Du Gia → Du Gia Waterfall → Thai An → Cat Ly Viewpoint → Ha Giang (~80km)

   Du Gia Waterfall is a refreshing natural stop near Du Gia Village, surrounded by rice fields and lush greenery. Clear, cool water flows into a natural pool, making it a perfect place to swim, relax, or simply enjoy the peaceful mountain atmosphere.
   
   On the Ha Giang Loop, this is where we slow down—cool off after riding, take photos, and enjoy a calm moment in nature before continuing our journey.
