Dhauligiri Dhorpatan Magar Cultural Trek in Nepal

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

   Pass by
   Today we respect our Guest to the land of peace with the Nepali Hospitality Namaste typical way to show our Nepali culture at airport. Then by the short travel to the hotel by private car, our trekking guide will give briefing in details about the entire journey to the Dhorpatan Trekking.

Day 2: Kathmandu to Pokhara by flight than Sightseeing

   We will have flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara which take approximately 30 minutes. The journey will full of breathtaking views of Himalayas, lush hills, and diverse landscape. We will have rest at the Pokhara for the day and tonight we stay at the Hotel that is best for the international tourist.
   
   As per our time available on the day we will do sightseeing to explore Pokhara city.

Day 3: Pokhara to Darbang (1,100m) by drive

   We will have driven to Darbang which takes 6 hours to reach the destination. The drive rewards stunning scenery of Modi and Kali Gandaki rivers, streams, jungles, mountains, green hills, and beautiful landscapes. Today we have reach to the destination from where our adventure start.

Day 4: Darbang to Takam (1,650 meter)

   We will start our adventure from Darbang to Takam which take 5 to 6 hours to reach the destination. It goes through scenic scenery, including brooks, farmland fields, until arriving at the Stone Kani, a hard ascent before Dharapani. Tonight we will stay at homestay of the Dharapani.

Day 5: Takam to Muna (1,850 meter)

   Today we will be walking from Takam to Muna which takes approximately 4 to 5 hours. The trail is generally regarded as pleasant, with stunning views and a steady elevation as you progress higher, passing through lonely landscapes with streams and gorges. The walk also provides opportunity for exploring rhododendron and oak forests. Tonight we stay at the homestay of the Muna.

Day 6: Muna to Moreni (2,300 meter)

   We will trek 5-6 hours today and reach to the Moreni. The trail is in ascend climb up to an altitude. The trail traverses lush forests, bright sceneries, and offers views of the Himalayas. Tonight we will stay at the Homestay of Moreni.

Day 7: Moreni to Myagdi Jaljala

   The trail today is steep hill to climb up which takes 5-6 hours to reach. As we begin our journey, we can observe mixed woodlands of Rhododendron and Oak. We can also see lovely woods and high mountains such as Dhaulagiri Himal, Putha Himal, Gurja Himal, Churen Himal, Putha Himal, and others while traveling from Moreni to Jaljala, where we will spend the night.

Day 8: Jaljala to Gurjaghat (3,000 meter)

   Today we will trek around 5-6 hours and reach to the destination. The trail is easy and we gradually descend with mix elevation. We will enjoy the greenery, plants and animals around the trails complete our today trek. We will spend tonight at the Gurjaghta homestay.

Day 9: Gurjaghat to Dhorpatan (2,900 meter)

   The trail descends to Khahare Khola, likewise, we trek around 4-5 to the destination. After crossing it, the trail continues along the stream's bank and through mixed forest until Dhorpatan. Dhorpatan is an amazing location grassy land in the jungle. It is a big valley marshland in the fountains with valley of grass land and flowers an overnight stay in Dhorpatan homestay which is an interesting and fascinating experience. On the way we can also see Tibetan refugee camp.
   Bird and plant species include fir, pine, birch, rhododendron, hemlock, Juniper, and spruce, with up to 36 types of flora seen. The reserve contains many communities populated by hill tribes and Tibetans who augment their farming with trade and animal husbandry. We can also view the Monastery, Chortens, and the neighborhood market on the trail. Wooden rooftops are another draw for hikers. We can also learn about the usual lifestyle of the people living here.

Day 10: Dhorpatan to Thankur (3,200 meter)

   Today is the day to explore the Dhorpatan Wildlife Reserve as well as longest trekking day where we will walk like 7-8 hours. We have to climb the steep hill of 3,850 meter hill which is the challenging part of the trek and reach to the view point called Phalgune Phedi Danda. We can view a variety of wildlife, including leopards, ghorals, Himalayan tahr, black bears, barking deer, and many others if we are lucky. Tonight we will stay at Thankur at the homestay.

Day 11: Thankur to Pelma (2,400 meter)

   The trail is gradually descends to Ghusdung Khola or river by crossing the suspension bridge. Today we walk like 5-6 hours to the Pelma. On the way to the Pelma we can experiences the Hot spring on the way and enjoy the nature. Tonight we will spend our night at the homestay of Pelma. It is small and quiet village of Magar and Dalit people

Day 12: Pelma to Maikot (2,300 meter)

   The trail is gradually ascend than again it descends. Today we walk like 4-5 hours up to Maikot. On the trail you will explore the entire natural beauty with the local people culture and lifestyle around the village. Tonight we will stay overnight at homestay of Maikot.
   
   Maikot is a big village of Magar, Dalit and Gurung people where it is a base camp for the collection of Yarsagumba (Himalayan Cordyceps, Himalayan Viagra)

Day 13: Maikot to Mayang (2,300 meter)

   Enjoy the village on the way. Today we will walk around 2-3 hours to reach the destination. The trail is normal and descend where we have the view of people local life and their culture and unique hospitality around the community. We will stay tonight at the homestay of Mayang.

Day 14: Mayang to Takasera (2,200 meter)

   The trail is mix where we have to descend as well ascend so enjoy the majestic beauty of nature as well as the local community people life style and way of their living. Accept the challenges as well as adventure of the walking. Today we will trek like 6-7 hours then tonight we stay at the homestay of Takasera. First we will ascend till around 2,900m and descend towards another side of hill that is Takasera.

Day 15: Explore the beauty of Takasera with Cultural Activities

   Takasera is the biggest village in this trek. It is huge and compact houses build. It is the centre of culture for the Magar people. The place is famous for Magar Culture and unique lifestyle. We will explore Magar Cultural Dance, local food and their local game practice in the village. Then we will visit entire community home architecture and local life.
   We will visit the hills around and walk through the rivers and see the century’s years old village. You will love this old and culturally rich village.

Day 16: Takasera to Lukum (2,100 meter)

   The trail today we are passing is steep uphill where we will cross Tila Pass at the altitude of 3,050 approximately form sea level than we descend down hills. The trail is full of natural beauty of tall subalpine tree, rhododendron, alpine scrub, rivers, and greenery all around. Likewise Lukum is the home of Magar people which is known for unique culture and tradition. Today we will walk like 5-6 hours and reach to Lukum where we will have stay tonight at Homestay.

Day 17: Lukum to Thawang (2,000 meter)

   Today we are passing trail by steep uphill where we will cross Syaubari Pass at the altitude of 2,670 meterr approximately form sea level than we descend down hills. During the trek will we pass by the running river called Mangra River from Syaubari pass. Today we will walk around 7-8 hours to reach the Thwang. Thawang, located further along the Guerrilla Trek path, is well-known for its scenic beauty and unique cultural experience. Thabang as a tourist village where homestay facilities is available. It has stone pavements, Magar culture and history of people's movement. Tonight we will stay at the local homestay of Thwang.

Day 18: Thawang to Jelbang (1600 meter)

   Passing through Rhododendron forests, green fields of plums were all along the way. A steady walk about to 8 hours to reach to Jelbang. Trek follow steady walking trail along Jaljala of Rolpa, Bangman Cave, Galpu River, Jemthang and many villages. The trail is mixed where some path are steep uphill and steep downhill. Tonight we will stay at the local homestay of Jelbang.
   Jaljala is the religious place for Magar and people around the place.

Day 19: Jelbang to Nepaljung by Local Bus Drive (150 meter)

   The distance between Jelbang to Nepaljung is 333 KM which takes us 7-8 hours to reach Nepaljung by vehicle. We will stay at the hotel of Nepaljung and take rest or explore the local market around the hotel. Get ready for the tomorrow flight to the Kathmandu.

Day 20: Nepaljung to Kathmandu by Flight (1,400 meter)

   The average flight time from Nepalgunj (KEP) to Kathmandu (KTM) is roughly fifty minutes. There are roughly 227 miles (365 kilometers) throughout the flight. You can spend the rest of the day as per your wish. You may like to visit Spa and shop around Thamel. Meet our team for the last time over a farewell dinner organized by the company.

Day 21: Departure

1. Pass by
   Our airport representative will assist you to reach the Tribhuvan International Airport three hours before the flight departure time.
