What to expect

Day 1: First Day Mikumi

    The journey begins early in the morning with a pickup from your hotel in Zanzibar City, followed by a transfer to the ferry terminal. You will board a morning ferry and enjoy a scenic crossing across the Indian Ocean to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania’s largest city.

    Upon arrival in Dar es Salaam, you will take a train toward Mikumi National Park. The train will takes you through beautiful landscapes
    In the afternoon, you arrive at Mikumi National Park and begin your first game drive. The park’s wide savannah and open floodplains make wildlife viewing excellent. During the game drive, you may encounter elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, wildebeest, antelopes, and with some luck, lions resting in the shade. The experience continues until late afternoon when you exit the park and proceed to your lodge or tented camp.
    In the evening, you check in at the lodge, relax after the day’s adventure, enjoy dinner, and spend the night surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.
Day 2: Second day at mikumi national park.

    The second day starts early with a morning game drive inside Mikumi National Park. This is one of the best times to observe wildlife, as animals are most active during the cooler hours of the day. You may see predators returning from a night hunt, herds grazing peacefully, and birds beginning their morning calls as the sun rises over the savannah.

    After the game drive, you return to the lodge for breakfast after breakfast you will Visit Maasai Village Following by check-out and start journey back to Zanzibar.

    In the afternoon, you will train to Dar es salaam to take Ferry or flight back to Zanzibar Airport. The return crossing offers time to relax and reflect on your safari experience. Upon arrival in Zanzibar, you will be transferred back to your hotel, marking the end of your 2 days / 1 night Mikumi Safari from Zanzibar.
