Overview

Bow & Arrow Canyon combines four rappels up to 110 feet with open desert views, dinosaur tracks, petroglyphs, and Longbow Arch—all in a half-day outing. The mix of hiking, scrambling, and rappelling makes for a varied morning exploring Moab’s canyon country.

Every trip is private and led by Magnum Expeditions owner Dan Lundgren. You’ll have a guide focused entirely on your group, with individual instruction and time to get comfortable with each rappel. It’s a chance to learn something new together, with the rest of the day free to explore more of Moab.

What's included

  • Private transportation
  • All necessary technical gear for the tour including rappelling & safety equipment.
  • Harnesses are adjustable and fit up to a 53-inch waist.
  • Snacks & sun protection are not provided. Please come prepared with these items.

What to expect

Spend a morning exploring Bow & Arrow Canyon with your own private guide. Hike across slick-rock, descend four rappels, and see dinosaur tracks, petroglyphs, & Longbow Arch along the way. Morning departures typically finish around lunchtime, leaving you plenty of time to enjoy the rest of Moab.

Every trip is led by Dan Lundgren, owner of Magnum Expeditions, an AMGA-certified Single Pitch Instructor and Wilderness First Responder who has guided in the Moab area since 2018.

No previous rappelling experience is needed. Dan walks you through each step, with time to ask questions and get comfortable with the equipment. Because the trip is private, the pace is tailored to your group.

The three-mile route includes hiking & scrambling over uneven terrain and four required rappels. Participants must be at least 10 years old and have a moderate level of fitness.

All technical equipment and photos from your trip are included, and pickup within Moab is available. Wear closed-toe shoes you’re comfortable hiking in, and bring a small daypack, snacks, and sunscreen.
