Upon arrival, you’ll be warmly welcomed into our family space with a traditional Zapotec breakfast featuring yema bread, chocolate, and other local treats.
Next, we will introduce the natural materials used in our weaving process, including wool, threads, and the plants and insects used for natural dyes. You’ll learn how to wash and prepare the wool before dyeing it with vibrant, natural colors.
After a light meal, you’ll start weaving on a traditional loom, creating a small piece to take home as a unique souvenir of your experience.
