This Beach Ride is specially designed for cruise ship guests arriving at Amber Cove or Taino Bay. Please note that the start time shown is for orientation purposes only. We will organize and confirm your exact pickup and tour time according to your cruise ship’s arrival schedule, so you can enjoy your horseback riding experience without worrying about the timing. This unforgettable Puerto Plata adventure combines beach horseback riding, nature, and authentic Dominican hospitality. Ride gentle, well-trained horses through scenic trails and along the beautiful Caribbean coastline, with stunning ocean views. Enjoy the unique opportunity to swim with the horses in the sea, when conditions permit. Our small-group experience includes professional guides, convenient round-trip transportation, beach time, and the chance to relax at a local beachfront restaurant. Perfect for families, couples, friends, beginners, and experienced riders.

What to expect

    Depending on the location from your port, the transfer to the ranch takes approximately 20–35 minutes. Along the way, you’ll pass through the city, the beach boulevard and the local villages and can see the authentic live of the dominicans, before arriving at the ranch, where our friendly staff will welcome you.
    After receiving your safety helmet, we’ll take a short 5-minute drive to the meeting point, where you’ll meet your personal guide. Your guide will give you basic instructions on how to handle and ride your horse and will select the horse that best matches your experience and comfort level.
    Then the adventure begins! We start our ride through beautiful tropical nature and scenic trails, making our way toward the beach.

    Along the beautiful natural shoreline, you’ll ride your horse while enjoying the refreshing sea breeze and the relaxing sound of the waves. The peaceful surroundings make this part of the ride truly unforgettable. The ride got split in two parts. During the ride, we’ll take a short break, see the next point.

    We have the break at the small local Bar/ Restaurant directly at the beach and we ride in the sea with the horses, relax, enjoy the scenery, and take some memorable photos. A very special en unique experience.

    Back at the ranch, you’ll be welcomed with a refreshing drink of your choice: rum and Coke, Coke, or water. We’ll also serve you fresh seasonal fruit. And last but not least, you can taste a shot of authentic Dominican Mamajuana.

Pickup details

Confirm your Pick Up time the day before, depend when your Cruiseship comes in, we change your pick up and start time!
- We leave the port 30 minutes before star time , walk quick to your meetingpoint please!

Port Meetingpoints:
- Amber Cove: outside of the port, after the principal gate, left side of the avenue, about 12 minutes walk.
- Taino Bay: Gate 5, outside of the door, 10 minutes walk.
