Your journey begins with a comfortable pickup from Johannesburg between 5:30 AM and 6:30 AM in a luxury, air-conditioned vehicle. Arrive at Pilanesberg around 9 AM and dive straight into a 3-hour morning game drive in an open safari vehicle—perfect for spotting elephants, lions, and other iconic wildlife.
By midday, you’ll check in at the luxurious 5-star Shepherd’s Tree Game Lodge and enjoy a mouth-watering lunch. Spend the early afternoon unwinding by the pool, soaking in the stunning scenery, or treating yourself to a session at the lodge’s world-class spa.
At 4 PM, set off on a 3-hour sunset game drive in an open vehicle, as the golden hour brings the bush to life with unforgettable sightings. Return to the lodge for a sumptuous dinner at the restaurant—or enjoy a traditional boma dinner under the stars, weather permitting.
Day 2: Morning Safari and departure

At 12 PM, you can choose to join a short game drive in a closed vehicle for one final wildlife adventure, or simply relax at the lodge (pickup is at 2:30 PM if you prefer to stay).
Depart Pilanesberg at 3 PM, with arrival in Johannesburg expected between 5:30 PM and 6:30 PM.
