What to expect

  1. Mutianyu Great Wall
    2h · Admission ticket included
Perched majestically among undulating mountains north of Beijing, the Mutianyu Great Wall unfolds a spectacular chapter of China’s ancient history. This less-crowded alternative to Badaling offers panoramic views of the wall snaking through lush green landscapes, with well-preserved watchtowers and original stone battlements stretching into the distance.
You can choose to take the cable car up to Watchtower 15, or opt for the chairlift to Watchtower 6 and glide back down on the toboggan slide. Either way, you’ll walk along the ancient stone paths, explore the watchtowers, and capture iconic photos at the best vantage points. Your guide will share insights into the Great Wall’s Ming Dynasty construction, its strategic role in defending China’s northern frontier, and its enduring cultural significance as a symbol of China’s strength and heritage.
  2. Summer Palace
    2h · Admission ticket included
Nestled in the western suburbs of Beijing, the Summer Palace is a masterpiece of Chinese imperial garden design, where you’ll wander through tranquil lakes, winding corridors, and opulent pavilions that once served as a royal retreat.

You’ll stroll along the iconic 728-meter Long Corridor, adorned with vivid paintings of Chinese myths and landscapes, before visiting the Marble Boat—a stunning lakeside pavilion that symbolizes the stability of the Qing Dynasty. Your guide will share stories of the emperors and empresses who once resided here, explaining the garden’s symbolic layout and its role in China’s imperial history, from its 18th-century construction to its status as a UNESCO World Heritage Site today.
