Led by a veteran mountain guide with over 40 years of hiking experience, this exclusive tour takes you on a scenic hike through one of Japan’s peaceful 600-meter mountains — a hidden gem known only to locals. Whether you're a seasoned hiker or a beginner, your expert guide will ensure a safe, enriching journey filled with breathtaking views.
After your hike, unwind in a charming, Showa-era Japanese home, built over 50 years ago. This retro-style house offers a cozy, nostalgic atmosphere that brings you back to simpler times. Enjoy authentic homemade Japanese meals made with local, seasonal ingredients.

What to expect
Day 1: Explore the traditional Japanese house and surrounding area

15:00 – Arrive at the Japanese-style house in the Showa style. Welcome drink (green tea or Japanese tea)
16:00 – Relaxing time while enjoying the Showa-style retro interior
18:00 – Authentic Japanese dinner made with lots of local ingredients
20:00 – Relax around the Kotatsu table
22:00 – Go to bed (you can choose between futon and bed)
Day 2: Hiking a local mountain

07:00 – (Option) Light walking surrounding the inn while breathing in the fresh morning air
08:00 – Breakfast (Japanese breakfast made with fresh local ingredients or morning menu at a coffee nearby)
09:30 – Hike (600m altitude / approx. 3 hours) led by a veteran guide with over 40 years of mountain climbing experience

We will give you a careful lecture on how to enjoy the mountains and how to climb safely
We will explain the history of the mountains and the appeal of nature in depth with our extensive knowledge!
(The guide may not be fluent in English, but she'll try her best to provide the best experience for you!)
12:30 – After descending the mountain, lunch at a local restaurant (optional)
14:00 – Return to accommodation and the tour ends
