This tour is incredibly exclusive. Please email us to confirm what dates the tour will be offered War Excursions Normandy Tours will cover events of June 6th, 1944 starting with the Airborne operations in American sectors. Our main tour guide is an active duty American Army officer who has spent years reading, researching, and walking the ground of Normandy. Each tour takes an in depth military focused approach. The tours will hit the main Normandy memorials as well as visit a few locations off the beaten path that provide great insight to the what occurred on June 6th, 1944. Our mission is to share our appreciation and awe for the incredible magnitude of the events of June 6th 1944. What to expect

Day 1: Normandy In-Depth Day 1
  1. Sainte-Mere-Eglise

    Visit the church at Sainte Mere-Eglise and the American Airborne Museum. Airborne museum is an extra cost.
  2. Angoville-Au-Plain

    Church where Airborne troops sought refuge and were cared for.
  3. Manoir de Brecourt

    Brecourt Manner is private property, but we will visit the Easy Company 101st Memorial and see the grounds.

Meeting and pickup

Pickup details

This tour is incredibly exclusive as I am only in the region certain times of the year. Please email us to confirm what dates the tour will be offered. There will be pick up locations identified based on where you stay in the Normandy region. We recommend staying in Bayeux, Grand-Camp Maisy, Carentan, or Caen. Please note that Caen is about an hour away from the American sections of Normandy.

  • Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller
  • Public transportation options are available nearby
  • Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health
  • Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
