Day 1: Cusco to the Amazon: Andes, Cloud Forest & Pilcopata

Early departure from Cusco and journey through the Andes and picturesque rural communities. Visit pre-Inca tombs and stop in Paucartambo before continuing into the cloud forest. Along the way, enjoy lunch and keep an eye out for orchids, bromeliads, birds and other wildlife. Continue to Pilcopata Inn for your overnight stay.
Day 2: Pilcopata to Amazon Manu Lodge

After an early breakfast, take a short jungle walk to look for monkeys and birds, followed by visits to a coca plantation and a wildlife rescue center. Continue to Port Atalaya and board a boat along the Alto Madre de Dios River toward Amazon Manu Lodge. In the afternoon, explore a nearby swamp, and after dark take a caiman-spotting excursion.
Day 3: Macaws, Jungle Trails & Machuwasi Lake

Start early with a boat trip to a macaw clay lick, where colorful parrots and macaws gather to feed. After breakfast, hike through the rainforest and learn about its biodiversity. Day 5: Amazon Manu Lodge to Cusco

After breakfast, board the boat back to Port Atalaya, where transportation will be waiting for the journey back to Cusco. Stop for lunch along the way and continue through the changing landscapes of the Andes. Arrival in Cusco is expected in the late afternoon.
