Day 1: San Francisco to Bodega Bay

Day 2: Bodega Bay to Redwoods

   Historic seaside town, great spot for lunch.
2. Fort Ross State Historic Park

   Fort Ross is a huge gathering spot of the California Sea Lion. We are sure to see many of these huge and funny creatures. If you have or have not seen them before, this will not disappoint
3. The Sea Ranch

   A chance to get outside and take great pictures.
4. Anchor Bay

   Another fantastic spot and viewpoint along the coast.
5. Avenue of the Giants

   The famous roadway where you drive through tall redwoods on each side of the road!
   
   We will get out at a few spots to take a walk or short hike.
   
   Founders Tree, one of the largest trees in the forest
   Grieg-French Grove, a special spot where the forest floor is covered in clovers
   High-Rock River Trail, a short hike amongst the trees
   
   An absolute must see and must experience once in your life!
   
   We know some good surprise spots to get out and explore a bit.

Day 3: Redwoods to Oregon Coast

1. Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park

   We will experience Redwoods at these stops:
   
   Grove of the Titans Trail, a beautiful and easy hike amongst some of the largest trees in the world and old growth forest.
   
   Stout Grove, a specially preserved grove with the famous "wedding tree"
   
   Simpson-Reed Trail, in this spot you can walk inside huge trees.
   
   You might never be the same.
   
   We will take several hikes to breathe the air and take memorable photos.
2. Eureka
   2h
   An interesting seaside city with ocean on one side and forest on the other. We will make the most of our brief visit.
3. Dick Taylor Craft Chocolate

   A special visit to the well respected craft chocolate maker Dick Taylor. We'll sample chocolate with flavors from all over the world!

Day 4: Oregon Coast to Cannon Beach

1. Coos Bay

   Historical seaside town home to the famous runner "Prefontaine"
2. Thor's Well

   A mysterious hole on the ocean coast. Like nothing you've seen before.
3. Hug Point State Recreation Site

   A unique state park that is both amazing and not too crowded due to its location.
4. Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area
   2h · Admission ticket included
   These sand dunes on the coast will take your breath away, and may spark your imagination. This place was the inspiration for the science fiction book and movie series "Dune"
5. Depoe Bay
   2h
   A beautiful bay with carved out rocks along the beach and known for whale watching tours.

   -Lunch at one of the local respected seafood restaurants
6. Yaquina Head Outstanding Natural Area

   At Yaquina Head we will get a chance to see seals, giant starfish, urchins, and other marine life among the protected tide pools areas
   
   There's also amazing views from the historic Lighthouse.
   
   This area is part of the National Park service so it is well maintained and the entry fee is included.

Day 5: Cannon Beach to Seattle

1. Goonies House

   The famous house from the 1980s cult classic movie "Goonies" purchased by a fan, the house is preserved and has an amazing view!
2. Portland
   2h
   We'll stop for a late lunch in Portland to see a bit of the food scene and find out what makes Portland weird.
3. Cannon Beach
   2h
   A magnificently life fulfilling view of huge haystack rocks, a picture is worth a thousand words in this case.
4. Seaside
   1h
   Right next to Cannon Beach is Seaside Oregon which has a nice boardwalk area along the beach and a statue to Lewis and Clark turned around to head home after an 18-month, 4,000 mile journey in 1805.
5. Cape Meares
   1h
   This excellent wildlife viewpoint we may see:
   
   -Grey Whales migrating
   -Tufted Puffins
   -Cormorants
   -Common Murres
   -Western Gulls
   
   There's also the largest Sitka Spruce tree in Oregon (over 800 years old) and a tree with eight large branches known as the "Octopus Tree"
6. Tillamook
   1h
   A locally famous dairy company, we will have a chance to refresh and try some locally made ice cream and cheese at this well maintained facility.

We pickup in San Francisco or Seattle.
The trip is 5 days and ends in Seattle or San Francisco depending on your direction.
