Overview
Yala National Park – Block 1 (Ruhuna National Park) is the park’s most famous and frequently visited section, renowned for its Sri Lankan leopards and rich wildlife. Explore dry forests, grasslands, lagoons, rocky landscapes, and waterholes, with opportunities to see elephants, sloth bears, crocodiles, water buffalo, spotted deer, wild boar, jackals, and many bird species. Early morning and late afternoon are generally productive times for wildlife viewing.
Enjoy a 4-hour private jeep safari, available in the morning or evening, with an experienced driver-guide. Travel comfortably through Yala while searching for wildlife and enjoying excellent opportunities for photography in the park’s beautiful natural surroundings.
