Ikebana Art Session at GANKO-JI Temple Studio
[The Experience] Create modern floral art in a contemporary studio hidden within the historic GANKO-JI Temple, just 5 minutes from Kanayama Station. This session blends Nagoya’s urban energy with temple serenity.
[Highlights]
Temple Insight: Meet the Priest or his wife to hear exclusive stories about temple life (includes English translation). They are busy, so they can do this when they are not attending their duties.
[Special Temple Welcome]
Before we begin our ikebana session with beautiful flower materials, you will be
served a cup of Japanese tea in a traditional ceramic cup along with a specially selected local sweet from Nagoya.
Vase Gallery: Explore a curated collection of artistic vessels and select the perfect "canvas" for your work.
Master Demo: Watch 1st Grade Instructor Kayoko transform seasonal materials like WILLOW or CHERRY BLOSSOM into living sculptures.
Creative Workshop: Guided by Kayoko, use architectural AOMOJI or LILY to compose your own masterpiece, focusing on the beauty of "Ma" (space).
After a quiet stroll in Atsuta Shrine, we will dine at Horaiken, famous for its Nagoya Style grilled-eel over rice.
