Visit the Guinigi Tower, one of the most recognizable symbols of the historic center of Lucca. Built in the 14th century by the powerful Guinigi family, the tower is famous for its particular hanging garden and for the holm oaks that grow on its top. Climb the 230 steps to reach the panoramic point, at about 44 meters in height, and admire a spectacular view of the medieval rooftops of Lucca, the churches, the towers, the city walls, and the surrounding Tuscan landscape.
On the clearest days, the gaze can stretch towards the hills, Mount Pisano, the Apennines, and the Apuane Alps.
