Known for its black clay pottery, where artisans demonstrate how they create these beautiful pieces using ancestral techniques.
Our first stop is San Bartolo Coyotepec, famous for its barro negro (black clay pottery). We will be here for about one hour.

Home of the famous alebrijes: colorful hand-carved wooden figures decorated with traditional Zapotec designs.
Visit local workshops where the figures are hand-carved from wood and meticulously painted with bright colors.
