Are you looking for a uniquely Japanese experience during your stay in Fukuoka?
I invite you to join an engaging and meaningful workshop that blends creativity and tradition.
In this workshop, you’ll have the chance to explore the art of kanji calligraphy.
Share the pronunciation of your name, the name of a loved one, or any word you’d like to see transformed into kanji. I will suggest a few kanji options that match the sound and meaning, and together, we’ll create your kanji masterpiece.
After the experience, I will serve you a small selection of traditional Japanese sweets and tea. To complete the workshop, you’ll receive your handwritten kanji and a printed version of your creation, framed as a poster—a special souvenir to take home with you.
About the Owner:
Nice to meet you. I'm a mother with experience living in both Australia and Taiwan. I've traveled to over 10 countries, enjoying both solo trips and guided tours. However, I've found that connecting with locals enriches the travel experience significantly. Fukuoka is a fantastic city with a harmonious balance between urban and rural life. Allow me to curate your time here to ensure it's as valuable as possible.
Meeting Point: Befu Station on the Fukuoka City Subway Nanakuma Line. The workshop venue is a 5-minute walk from this station. The station is equipped with escalators and elevators. At the meeting time, the host will be holding a poster with the “Experience Japan Studio” logo.
There is only one ticket gate at the Station, so I will be waiting for you there with your nameboard.
Befu Station is located about a 7-minute train ride from the central area of Fukuoka City and approximately a 20-minute walk from the popular Ohori Park.
