Photo tour by bee calessino between Taormina and Castelmola

1. 15m
Located along the scenic Via Roma, a few steps from the Public Garden (Villa Comunale), this viewpoint is one of the most picturesque walks in Taormina. Unlike the fashionable Piazza IX Aprile, here the atmosphere is quieter and more residential, offering a privileged view of Sicilian nature.

The View: From this vantage point the view sweeps unobstructed over the Bay of Giardini Naxos, Mount Etna and the Calabrian coast in the distance. Below the parapet stretches the lush Mediterranean vegetation that descends to the sea.

The Route: The promenade is characterized by wrought iron benches and pine and hibiscus trees, making it the ideal place for those seeking a moment of relaxation away from the chaos of Corso Umberto.

Points of Interest: It is located very close to the architectural "folies" of Lady Florence Trevelyan inside the Villa Comunale and several historic hotels that have hosted artists and writers from all over the world.

   What you'll see:

The total panorama: A unique perspective that embraces the Ancient Theatre, Mount Etna and the entire Ionian coast up to the Strait of Messina.

The Church in the Rock: You can admire the impressive 17th century Sanctuary, carved directly into the living stone, a jewel of rural architecture and spirituality.

Atmosphere: A peaceful corner where the scent of Mediterranean scrub blends with the blue of the sea.

An authentic and effortless experience, ideal for taking the postcard photo of your trip while the wind caresses you aboard the legendary calessino.
3. Castelmola
   1h
The Calessino Bee climbs along the most scenic bends of the coast to take you to Castelmola, one of the "most beautiful villages in Italy". Perched on a cliff overlooking the sea, this medieval village is a natural terrace suspended between Mount Etna and the Ionian Sea.

Piazza Sant’Antonio: You will admire the beautiful lava stone mosaic of the square and enjoy a 360° view that ranges from Calabria to the peaks of the volcano.
