Overview
If you have a flight layover in Shanghai less than 6 hours, there is not sufficient time for a tour in the downtown, but don't worry! You can make the time meaningful by taking this very short Foodie trip in Pudong!
If you love to immerse in Shanghaiese traditional snacks and enjoy traditional Pudong Water Town, look nowhere else as this is the best you can get for the time slot.
It will take around 1.5 hours for you to disembark the plane and another 1.5 hours for checking-in, which leaves you 3-4 hours for traveling.
In this tour, you will be visiting the picturesque Xinchang Ancient Town, famous for its water canals and ancient buildings, which dates back to the Ming Dynasties.
Since the town is best known by Shanghainese for its local street food, I will buy you the best 5 famous delicacies to try. We can stop for full meals at request.
If time permits, we will also be visiting a 700-year-old buddhist temple, and pray for your well-being, prior to heading back to the airport.
Our guide will meet you at the airport and transfer you to Explore Pudong’s own ancient town of Xinchang,
You will:
Try the delicious and pretty flower cake;
Eat different street food like deep-fried raddish cake
Try their specialty fried fermented tofu;
Visit the Ancient town’s Nanshan Buddhist Temple and its famous Guanyin statue;
Eat fish noodle or a full meal before heading back to your flight.
