Overview
Your English-speaking guide leads you into a neighborhood breakfast shop to begin with a bowl of Chongqing xiaomian. Learn how locals order, season and adjust the spice, and experience breakfast as part of everyday life. On the walk, your guide explains how Chongqing terrain shaped the old city and still influences how residents move through it. The route enters Shancheng Lane from above and continues downhill where possible, helping reduce repeated climbing while revealing hillside homes, steps and cliffside paths. At the local market, your guide introduces the ingredients, chili seasonings and hot-pot flavors residents buy and use. The purpose is to help you understand Chongqing through local food, landscape and the guides explanations.
