Overview

Learn about the history of indigo batik among the Hmong people in Sapa and discover how it became part of their traditional dress. During the workshop, you’ll hear the story of how batik began, then create your own piece to take home.

Before starting, the guide will explain the process and share a legend about honey collectors who discovered indigo dye and wax techniques, which inspired the unique patterns still used today.
