Overview
Korakoen was built by the Mito Tokugawa clan during the early days of the Edo period. The park features striking scenic beauty in an otherwise busy city center. The sounds of music from the Tokyo Dome can be heard throughout the park, but otherwise the views deep in the parks woods would make you feel like you have left the city.
Join us and learn about culture and history while we appreciate the beauty of this unique Japanese garden. Learn about the meanings of various formations, and see the birds enjoying the coast line of the pond.
