    The 96000 hectare "Big 5" Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park has a long and vibrant history. Being the oldest game reserve in Africa as well as the epicentre of rhino conservation and game capture innovations that have shaped and re-reshaped conservation and wildlife management from the implementation of "Project Rhino" in the 1950's & 1960's.

    Once the royal hunting grounds of Zulu king Shaka, this "Big 5" park is much part of the local cultural history as are the multitude of wildlife that roam the wilderness areas. Varying landscapes and diverse vegitation and ecosystems create habitats that support an incredible diversity of species. The Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park is one of the greatest game reserves of South Africa and certainly the pride of KwaZulu-Natal.

Please disregard the itinerary start time - We work with the up-to-date port and flight schedules, so we will be ready and waiting for you at the pick-up point when you disembark. We drop you off at the end of your excursion where we picked you up.
