Overview

While other tours take you to overcrowded attractions, Kiu's adventure brings you somewhere truly special. We start at the Black Lagoon, a hidden natural pool untouched by mass tourism, where you can swim in crystal-clear waters or take daring cliff jumps. Then, we head to Montanejos, where you’ll soak in its famous healing waters, rich in sulfate-zinc minerals known for their skin-rejuvenating and muscle-relaxing properties. It is a must-see and a perfect natural spa after an adventurous morning.

After an action-packed morning, we’ll sit down at Teresa’s Mijares Restaurant for a home-cooked Spanish meal, where authentic flavors and warm hospitality make lunch part of the experience.

But the adventure isn’t over yet. Marvel at the Screeching Bird Canyon, stand before the Arenoso Dam, and take in Jurassic Park-like landscapes as we drive through the Sierra de Espadán. This isn’t a rushed or scripted tour. It is a raw and immersive experience for those who crave a real escape.

We start our adventure at the mysterious Black Lagoon, a natural pool tucked away in the mountains. At first glance, its deep blue color and shadowy surroundings give it a mystical feel, but the water is crystal clear, pure, fresh, and fed by mountain springs. I’ll take you to the best spots to swim, explore, and, if you're feeling brave, try an exhilarating cliff jump into the cool, invigorating waters. Whether you dive in or just take in the beauty around you, this place has a special energy that sets the tone for an unforgettable day.

In the afternoon, we’ll make our way to Screeching Bird Canyon, a breathtaking gorge sculpted over time by the Mijares River. From a stunning viewpoint, you’ll take in sweeping views of towering cliffs, rugged rock formations, and the winding river far below. The sheer scale of this place is humbling, and if we’re lucky, we might even hear the canyon’s namesake—the echoing calls of birds soaring high above. It’s the perfect spot to pause, soak in the beauty, and capture some unforgettable photos before we head to our final stop.

Our journey ends at the impressive Arenoso Dam, a 50-meter-deep, 7-kilometer-long feat of engineering that blends seamlessly with its natural surroundings. Standing here, you’ll feel the contrast between the power of human ingenuity and the raw beauty of nature. The tranquil reservoir reflects the surrounding cliffs, creating a peaceful, almost surreal atmosphere—perfect for one last deep breath before we head back.
