Your day begins with a comfortable departure from downtown Shanghai, leaving the gleaming skyscrapers behind for the rustic charm of Qingpu District. Upon arrival at the professional kayaking club, you will be introduced to your expert instructors. Whether you are a first-timer or a seasoned paddler, you will be provided a comprehensive safety briefing and a technical workshop on paddle strokes, maneuvering, and water safety.
Once you feel confident on the water, you will follow your guide into a hidden network of waterways. You will paddle through a traditional Chinese water village where life moves at a slower pace. You’ll navigate under ancient stone bridges and alongside stilt-houses where locals still wash vegetables and hang laundry by the river—a rare, authentic glimpse into the "Old Jiangnan" lifestyle.
The highlight of the journey is entering the "Little Amazon"—a dense, flooded forest of towering dawn redwoods and lush aquatic vegetation. Here, the sunlight filters through the canopy, creating a shimmering green tunnel. The water is calm, the air is cool, and the only sound is the rhythmic dip of your paddle.
We will wait for you in the main lobby of your hotel. Our professional driver/guide will be holding a personalized pickup sign for easy recognition.
