Located near Istron and approximately 12 km from Agios Nikolaos, it is known for its soft pale sand, shallow turquoise waters and beautiful natural setting. The sheltered bay is ideal for swimming, relaxing and enjoying the Cretan sunshine, while organised sections offer sunbeds and umbrellas during the summer season. Amazonas Park is a small zoological park set in the peaceful hills of Kourounes, near Neapoli in eastern Crete.
