What to expect

Day 1: Day 1: Nairobi – Chogoria – Chogoria Bandas – Lake Ellis Camp

    The day will begin with a pick up from your preferred hotel around Nairobi or from the airport upon arirval. After a warm meet and greet and briefinhg from our team about what to expect in the expereince, the hike will begin with an early morning departure from Nairobi, driving through Kenya's picturesque highlands stopiing briefly at landmark sightings liek the famous Nithi Bridge to Chogoria Town, where we'll stop for lunch before proceeding to Chogoria Bandas. After a short briefing, begin our scenic trek through bamboo forests, open moorlands, and spectacular mountain landscapes to the beautiful Lake Ellis, where you'll enjoy your first night camping beneath the towering peaks of Mount Kenya.
Day 2: Day 2: Lake Ellis Camp – Mintos Camp (4,200m)

    Wake up to stunning alpine scenery before continuing your ascent through the dramatic Gorges Valley. Today's hike rewards you with breathtaking views of tarns, giant lobelias, and the rugged peaks of Batian and Nelion. Arrive at Mintos Camp (4,200m) in the afternoon, allowing plenty of time to rest, acclimatize, and prepare for the summit attempt.
Day 3: Day 3: Mintos Camp – Point Lenana (4,985m) – Shipton Camp (4,200m)

    Begin the summit push before dawn, climbing under a star-filled sky to reach Point Lenana (4,985m) just in time for an unforgettable African sunrise. Celebrate reaching the highest trekking peak on Mount Kenya while taking in spectacular panoramic views stretching across the surrounding landscapes.

    After capturing memorable photographs, descend to Shipton Camp, where you'll relax, enjoy a well-earned meal, and recover from your incredible summit achievement.
Day 4: Day 4: Shipton Camp – Old Moses – Nairobi

    Enjoy the final descent through the scenic Sirimon Route, passing alpine moorlands, forests, and abundant mountain wildlife before reaching Old Moses Gate.
