Immerse yourself in Tokyo’s most iconic cherry blossom spots this spring. Experience the beauty and romance of sakura season on a full-day tour visiting Tokyo’s most celebrated hanami (flower viewing) locations. Walk under blooming cherry trees, enjoy riverside strolls, and take in the stunning scenery of Tokyo in spring. This limited-time, sakura-focused tour is perfect for photographers, nature lovers, and anyone wanting a true taste of Tokyo’s seasonal magic.

Begin your tour at Shinjuku Gyoen, Tokyo’s Central Park of Cherry Blossoms. Stroll through three beautiful gardens: a traditional Japanese garden, a geometric French-style garden, and a spacious landscape garden with open lawns. In spring, around 900 cherry trees bloom, painting the entire park in shades of pink. Stroll freely and take photos under the blossoms—a serene oasis in bustling Tokyo.
Chidoriga-fuchi Park
1h

Next, head to Chidorigafuchi Moat, a riverside path connecting Kitanomaru Park to the Imperial Palace. 170 cherry trees line the moat, creating one of Tokyo’s top three hanami spots alongside Shinjuku Gyoen and Ueno Park. During early April, enjoy optional boat rides (JPY800/30 min) for a unique sakura-viewing perspective. At night, the illuminated cherry blossoms reflect beautifully on the water—a truly magical experience.
Ueno Park
3h

Continue to Ueno Onshi Park, Tokyo’s most famous cherry blossom spot. One of Japan’s oldest public parks, Ueno Park is renowned for blooming cherry trees, museums, and Ueno Zoo. Each spring, over 2 million visitors come to enjoy hanami here. The main avenue near the zoo is especially spectacular, with hundreds of cherry trees creating a tunnel of pink and white petals. Enjoy a leisurely walk, picnic among locals, or choose an optional Japanese lunch package for a complete seasonal experience.
Sumida Park
30m

Then, visit Sumida Park, located along the Sumida River in Asakusa. Sumida Park is famous for its “Sumi-zutsumi Sakura”, a historical hanami spot. Over 700 cherry trees line the riverbanks, and from the iconic Sakura Bridge, you can enjoy spectacular views with Tokyo Skytree in the background. During sakura season, the park buzzes with locals enjoying food, street performances, and seasonal festivities—an immersive hanami atmosphere.
Meguro River
1h

Finally, explore Meguro River, one of Tokyo’s most picturesque hanami spots. In spring, cherry blossoms line both sides of the river, forming an endless tunnel of pink petals. The surrounding area features cozy cafés and boutique shops, perfect for a leisurely stroll or light shopping. In the evening, the riverside comes alive with local food and drinks, creating a lively and festive hanami atmosphere
